Thanks for your enquiry. Firstly may I know if the MOP of 5 years for the EC is reached? Also, may I know if you are looking at a completed resale condo or an under construction new launch? As the timeline and approach will vary for both.

Initially we have decided to try to write to HDB for early sale but since it was only 3 months left, eventually we waited for another 3 months while we looked for our next property. Hi,

First thing we will need to ascertain will be whether your EC have met the MOP of 5 years? If it is, then you can start to sell the unit and plan to purchase a condo.

Next will be what type of condo you wish to buy? New or resale? If you wish to buy a new condo, then will you need to sell your existing EC to generate funding for the new condo? If yes, do you have an alternative place to stay?

There are many factors other than pricing and available savings to decide what is best for you.
