Hi,

Its good planning but with the MOP 3 years down the road, it could be too early to make any plans as policy measures may have changed and market sentiment changed drastically by then. You need not settle the hdb loan fully if you intend to sell it, unless you are looking to rent out this hdb instead it may make more sense. Generally 200k in cash+cpf would a good target number to save up for since you will unlock some funds from the hdb sale. Thanks and hope to assist with your housing plans when you are ready.

It would be tough to provide you with the accurate figures as I do not know where you are currently staying. I would also need to know how much CPF funds are being locked in both your CPF account and how much balance is available. The pricing and sizing of the condo that both of you are looking at and how much loan both of you can get individually will also impact the final calculation.

Hi,
If the plan is to sell the hdb, then don't need to make full payment. There are a lots of steps and procedures to follow the plan, 1st is to calculate the sale proceed of the hdb, then the loan eligibility, the time frame ...etc. I would suggest we have a discussion to allow myself to show you the details.
