I've a some financial question hope someone to advise me. Just want to make sure how much should I start preparing to buy a HDB.

Example if I want to buy a 300K HDB Flat
Below is what I know the fee I need to prepared.

300K - 20% deposit
15% CPF = 45K & 5% Cash = 15K
Agent Fee = 3K

But how about the exactly fee for Legal Fee= ? & Government Tax=? and some Misc Fee = ?

I hope to know the exact fee so I know I should prepare how much and need how long. Appreciate you professional and kindly advise. Thanks!!

Hi Mr. Simon,

For a 300K hdb, and a Singapore citizen purchasing using 80% Bank Loan,

Legal fees about 3K,
stamp duties 4.2k,
misc fee are hdb admin fees of about 300.
Cash over valuation (if any)

And the rest of the fees you have stated earlier.

For PRs, there's an Additional Buyer Stamp Duties of 15k.

Hi Simon,

- Legal fee around $2700 (CPF/CASH)
- Valuation Report $192 (CASH)
- Admin Fee to HDB $60 (CASH)

There is also the pro-rate property tax to be payable to the seller, the exact amount is only known on the 2nd appointment.

Morning Simon,

For purchase of resale HDB unit at $300k, getting a bank loan as SPR buyers, you will need this much cash and/or CPF in hand:
1) ABSD of 5%: $15k
2) Stamp duty and Legal Fee: ~$7k
3) 20% down payment: 15% CPF - $45k, 5% Cash - $15k
4) Cash component over valuation is valuation is lower than purchase price
5) Misc admin & valuation cost: ~$400
