Hi, is it true that I will incur a higher ABSD as a PR if I buy a private property first and sell my HDB within 6 months later?

Or is it advisable to sell my HDB first before buying a private property to incur a lower stamp duty.

Hi Max

Both ways are fine as you could ask for the ABSD refund should you buy a private first and sell the HDB later.

But if you only want to pay the minimum stamp duty because of cash flow issue, then it is advisable that you sell your current HDB first, then search for a condo unit concurrently. Cheers!
