Hi, I'm a Singaporean currently living with wife and three kids in a HDB Flat.
Question 1. Can I still purchase a condominium as my second property?
2. I am interested in Lakeside area, with $1500 monthly price,is it sufficient for me to get a condo? and what type is that?

Hi Anthony,

Have your HDB flat fulfilled the MOP requirement?

Only when your HDB flat has MOP then you are eligible to purchase a second property in Singapore.

In regards to your capablitiy and affordibility of the next property, why not i request a few of my bankers to advise you on it?

Hi Anthony,

1. Once you have finished the MOP of HDB, you can purchase a condo as your 2nd property. If you do not have any outstanding housing loan, bank loan is 80%. If yes, bank loan is 60% only.

2. $1500 as monthly installment is possible, if you rented out your HDB (after MOP). You can use the rental of your HDB + your $1500/mth for the installment of your condo.
