Hi

If I currently own a HDB resale bought under the singles scheme and my wife to be has a condo under her name, what happens after our marriage?

Can we both keep our respective property and can she stay with me as an occupier?

Hi, I’m afraid one of you has to either sell away the HDB or the condo unit.

Dear Sir,

Unfortunately, HDB will not allow you to hold on to both properties. You and your wife may choose to keep either one of the properties. You may evaluate your options and keep the one which has higher upside potential in the future.

Hi,

It depends on whether you have completed MOP of current flat.

(1) Completed MOP of current flat, based on assumption you are SC:
Proposed occupiers can be the owners of private property, for investment purposes.

(2) Incomplete MOP of current flat:
(i) Proposed occupiers must not have an interest in any private property
(ii) Proposed occupiers can be ex-owners of private property (including pre-war flats)
