Hi

A widow with 2 kids is already an acceptable family nucleus. You just need to add the children as occupier.

Should you choose to purchase under Joint Single Scheme, both you and the other applicant must be S'pore Citizens aged 35 years or older.

Hi,

1) Under Joint-Single Scheme, the eligible criteria for widowed is Singapore Citizen and above 21 years old.

2) You may apply with another single to purchase a resale flat as long as you fulfilled the condition in (1).

3) This single or multiple singles (unrelated), maximum up to 4, must be a Singapore Citizen, can be under any of the following situations:
(a) orphan (>=21yrs old),
(b) widowed (>=21 yrs old),
(c) unmarried single SC (>=35 yrs old),
(d) divorced (>=35 yrs old)
(e) Or a combination of any of the above.

4) Ensure you and your co-applicant does not have any sibling who is below 35 yrs old buying/owning another flat under:
* Orphan Scheme
* Single Singapore Citizen Scheme
* Joint Single Scheme

5) There is no restriction on whether you have children with you. They will list as occupiers. The requirement only you must be one of the co-applicant.

6) Should you wish to receive an official confirmation from HDB, you may also submit an inquiry via the below link:

Hi

Yes you may do so. You can just add your child name as the occupier. Do note that the other singles need to be either above 35, widowed or orphaned in order to qualify for joint singles scheme. However if this is your first time buying a HDB, this might not be beneficial for you. It's good if we can communicate further to enable me to understand your circumstances better and advise you on the best approach you should take. I am specialised in HDB transactions. Do contact me at 93375051  for a free and non obligatory discussions on this.
