YES, u can purchase without an agent

you can search property guru (or any property portals) and view the house yourself

you can ask that particular agent (almost all houses are sold via agents) whom you are keen to buy from

if you don't purchase, then there would be NO SALE. It is in the seller's agent's (interest) to guide you since a sale will be done

AND all agents are helpful (since a sale is expected to be done)

Hi Dion, yes you definitely could do so. But can I know are you referring to HDB or private property pls? As for private property, a buyer need not pay any commission at all and so it is definitely advisable to engage an agent when it comes to purchasing of private property.

Hi Dion

Certainly, you can. If you have the prerequisite "qualification" in the property transaction.

May I ask why do you not want an agent to help you with your
purchase? Buying a house is a significant expense in one's lifetime.

A licensed and experienced agent can relieve you of the headaches in a transaction. Besides, it likely cost you nothing in commission if you are buying a private property.

For HDB is only 1%. The value that an experienced agent brings to the transaction will far exceed the expense.

If you can outperform an experienced, please go ahead.
Otherwise, you may write to gavin.ng@orangetee.com for an open discussion.

Hi Dion,

Buying a property minimum cost $300,000, this is still a siginificant amount in current economic situation.
Though I do encountered buyers who come alone with or without their family, however, through conversation I observe some of them do miss out some of the critical consideration in house search.

Most of them are well versed with the procedures and process laid out by HDB or other websites that provides free consultations.

Buying a home for some people is only merely a minor transactions or a short term solution. Most of them do not feel that this is important as they are merely looking for a roof over head.

In fact, buying a home is different from buying a bowl of noodles or a plate of chicken rice.
If you don't like it or regret after purchase, you may just leave it as it is or just discard it as it is just a small cost to them.

I urged it is best to engage a real estate consultant to discuss and you will understand what did you left out. If you still feel uncomfortable working with a single point of contact, then you are still better off than just go out on your own without any consultation.
Because I believed you will still learn something out of this discussion.

Hope the above answer to your main concerns, but if there are more queries, please feel free to contact me at 90110636  , or email: ling.ck7@gmail.com if more information is needed.
I'll be glad to assist.

Hi Dion,

Yes of course you could.

However, if you're not experienced or savvy in property transactions, my suggestion is to speak to a professional first. After speaking, you can then decide if you wish to handle the transaction on your own or not.

Should you need any further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.

Hi Dion,

It is fine for purchasers to go through a property purchase on their own, however, your question raises the concern of your know-how to transact a property purchase since you are not even aware of your rights as a buyer in a property purchase. Would it be better to go through a professional instead of risking your own interest in the entire process?
