To lease out your HDB, after your MOP, you need PRIOR approval from HDB first. then you look for tenants.

For ROOM rental, you need not seek HDB's approval, BUT you MUST INFORM HDB within 7 days of finding your tenant.

Also, ROOM rental is NOT ALLOWED for 1 and 2 room HDB.

You need to have a 3 room HDB before you can lease out 1 room.
