Hi, I responded to a room rental posting online, and the agent who posted it indicated it's already taken up & asked if I wanted to view another place he has on hand, which I took up after viewing. After this, he indicated I'm liable to pay "50% of the commission" (which is half-mth rental) for this 1-yr rental contract, while he's also charging the owner management fee (as they will be overseas). Is this appropriate? Thanks.
