Good evening Winnson, as long as you are eligible under any of the HDB schemes, you will be able to purchase a resale hdb. Do take note that you are required to sell off your condo with 6 months after resale hdb completion date. Hi Winnson, Do consider carefully on this downgrade. As my fellow professionals have indicated, you will be required to relinquish your ownership of the private condo within 6 months of taking possession of your HDB should you be eligible to purchase a HDB under 1 of the HDB schemes. As a downgrader, you will only be eligible to purchase a resale unit. The setback will be the requirement to fulfill the Minimum Occupation Period of 5years before you are allowed to foray into private home ownership. What could be a reason for your olanned downgrade?
