Hi,

I have signed a tenancy agreement which states that i have to rent the room in the condo for one year if not the landlord will confiscate my one month deposit. is this clause legal? the previous rooms that i rented did not have such clause. thanks

Hi Tay,
Different landlords have different requirements in relation to rental. Before you sign any documents, you need to find out from the landlord or his agent about the exit clause so that you can realize is there any penalty if you terminate the contract prematurely.
