Asked by
Hi, I have found a 2 Bedroom rental unit on Property Guru. After viewing the unit, the agent told me that he's representing the tenant and his partner is representing the landlord. As such I will need to pay him commission. May I ask is there such a practise in the industry? I did not engage this agent to look for a property for me. I found the property ad on Property Guru and yet I am asked to pay commission to him. Also his partner is representing the landlord and he claims that he's representing me. Isn't there a conflict of interest?

Hi, I would suggest that you skip this unit and moved on.
