Hi .. I have a tenant that stay at my home for 1 month (11 august 2022). And when Im asking rental payment (7 Sept 2022) he argue by telling me that he already make a payment of 1 month rental n 1 month deposit. And right now he demand me to pay his deposit back n he will be out by tonight or he will stay 1 month to cover the deposit that he paid. And of till now I haven't done agreement letter to him as I'm too busy with my kids but I already registered him in HDB.. now he want to bring me to police station.. what should I do with this type of tenant?

Hi,

You can just inform your agent will do and get him or her to settle this issue on your behalf.

Eviction of tenants can be quite a headache let alone in your case that you do not even have an agreement with the tenant. It sounds like the tenant is also unreasonable if I based on your description alone, so I guess the best way is to seek advise from lawyer in current context. Read More
