Hi. I currently have a HDB that has not reached MOP. Can I rent a residential property under my own company for myself to stay? Reason being I want to be nearer to certain location. I will not be renting out my current HDB.

The core purpose of MOP is to ensure owners live in their flat. If you rent another property, you must still maintain your registered address at the HDB and live there.

However, you can rent a secondary home that is nearer to wherever you would like to be (e.g. near your workplace or loved ones) for your own convenience.
