Hi,

I bought an EC two years back with my wife. We are going through a divorce and will finalize in May next year. Please note I'm the only owner and she is the occupier. The signing of the S&P is on the 17November 2017 and TOP is 7 June 2018. May i know which Seller's stamp duty do I incur?

Can I ask if we divorce, what will be the possible scenario? We have a son. Can I form a family nucleus with my son? Can it be under Joint Custody?

Secondly, I do understand that if I remarry, HDB will request us to sell the unit and there will be a seller stamp duty. As such, is there a possibility of the following?

1) to allow me to hold on the EC and sell?
2) to allow me to remarry and form another nucleus?

Good evening,

try to appeal through your HDB branch office to own the EC as a sole owner.

I have at least 2 friends who managed to hold onto the EC after divorce.

They never incur stamp duties at all.
