Yes, you may want to seriously consider selling your unit at Palette at this point, because the Seller's Stamp Duty (SSD) you would have to incur is quite hefty - at 16% of price or market value, whichever is higher.

The extension of the SSD is one of the cooling measures introduced in January this year. This is how it works:
Holding period of 1 year : 16% of price or market value, whichever is higher
Holding period of 2 years : 12% of price or market value, whichever is higher
Holding period of 3 years : 8% of price or market value, whichever is higher
Holding period of 4 years : 4% of price or market value, whichever is higher

However, properties acquired before 20 Feb 2010 will not be subject to SSD, so you may want to consider selling the current property that you're staying in.
