Hi,
I am taking over a lease from an acquaintance and signed a novation document. Currently, I am applying permit for my move in however condo said that TA is needed even though the novation agreement shows everything like the address etc. Plus they also require me to show stamp duty payment however the SD was also paid by last year when my she signed the lease.

Just want to confirm, is my novation document really not valid for move in permit? Should I request for a fresh TA instead?

It is subjective to individual management office, but for cases which I have handled, the whole situation will be cleaner with a fresh TA signed and stamp duty paid.
