Hi, it would be better for you to purchase under your own name alone if possible. Because for yourself alone, stamp duty payable is at 8%. But if your brother will to have a joint name with you and he is a foreigner right now, then stamp duty payable is at 18%.

Hi, to purchase under your name,
stamp duty + ABSD is 42.6K,
20% down payment is 120K,
min cash required will be 162.6K for a 600K property.

I can try look for slightly lesser than 600K, but it will be better if you can stretch to 180K. Btw have you got IPA ?
