Hi, i am recently divorced and sold my house. Previously i have taken 2 hdb loan. I am having a bad situation now. as a divorcee you have to sell your house you dun have a choice. after selling my house i am planning to buy a resale 3 room flat by myself. therefore i ask banker and smartloans about loan and unfortunately i heard from banker in order for bank to loan me an estimated amount of 280k i hve to place 100+k in the bank for 4 years. Excuse me, if i have 100+K do you think i sitll need to loan from the bank? I am currently super worried and felt super pathetic. I would appreciate if anyone out there can help me on this issue which i think many divorcee are facing. Thank you. From a sad, worried and pathetic lady.

Morning Pamela, When the banker told you such terms, did you enquire what's the cause and reasons behind it? To what I understand, only those with bad credit and income record will be given such possible option, along with a guarantor. And if you have bad credit and income records, it's likely that most bank will not loan you for the mortgage. FYI Mike Lim 96929209  m52i@yahoo.com ERA Read More

Hi, thank you for your reply. Nope. banker only told me no choice govt regulations very strict den he says help me complaint to government lei. Annoying!! By the way, I don't own any credit cards but I do have a cashline loan of 3.5k that's all. SIgh... seems like divorcee like me can never own a house....
How much cash proceed did you manage to get from the sales of the house? Perhaps you may: (1) rent a house, or (2) try seeking help from MP. I'm reachable at 91264595  or propnex.jessica@gmail.com if there is anything that I could help. Read More
