Hi, I am planning to rent a 4 room HDB flat in the East. I have called up a few of the properties on lease. Some need to collect agent fees (1 month rental or neg.)from me but a few do not need to. I am confused. In official, does tenant need to pay the landlord's representative agent commission? In that case, is it necessary or better to engage an agent to help me locate property instead of finding it myself? Thanks.

Hi Selena,

In the first place, are you willing to pay any comms to agent?

Any agent who collects comms from you will be representing you as no dual representation is allowed.

If you need to source for a 4rm flat and is willing to engage an agent, why not give me a call? I am staying in the east and is active in this area.
