Hi,

I am planning to relocate to Singapore by mid of September. I am looking for a condo somewhere close to Qweenstown, where easy access to bus lines and metro are possible. I am looking for an unfurnished condo, as I am relocating from another coutry I have all the furnitures and appliances I need. While looking at the advertisements, I notices that, most of the listings are either fully or partially furnished. What are the probabilities to get an unfurnished condo in this area ? Also another question is, how much I can negotiate from the advertised prices,? What is the normal expectation.

Dear sir/madam,

Has your plan to relocate finalised or still drafting out? To rent a residential property in Singapore, you will require to hold a proper long term visit pass (VISA) based on local regulations. Rather than knowing how much you can negotiate based on the asking price, why not share with us on how much are you prepared to pay for monthly rent as well as why have you shortlisted Queenstown as your preferred base such that i can make recommendations according to your preferences and number of years lease required.

    Dear Mr Gery,
    Thanks a lot for your reply to my post. My move is already decided and My VISA (EP) and my dependents (wife and kid) VISA all is ready and with me. We will be flying to Singapore by 15th of Sept.

    I have short listed Qweenstown, because it is close the school I chose for my daughter(Global Indian International School) and close to Qweenstown MRT and I also saw it is close to market.(Holland Market)

    Initially I will go for a 2 yrs deal and my budget is S$3500. we are 3 members (me, my wide and kid may be 4 later on!)
    Hope you can help me with these informations.

There are some unit that are unfurnished. but it depend on your budget and location. Why did you bother to bring your appliances. If you are relocating from Europe all the plug need to be change. Even if you have enough travel plug to use, you wont want to overload it.

Secondly, if you are shipping your fridge and washer and dryer, the size might not fit the allocated size in kitchen, and yard area of the property unless you are looking for a huge house.
