Dear tenant,
I understand your frustrations. The regulations governing agent fees is that agents are not allowed to receive commission from both landlords and tenants, therefore if agent fees are not collected from landlord, then it is not wrong for them to collect the fees from tenants.
In such scenarios, I will usually advise the tenants to check up with the listing agents on whether agents fees are applicable before making arrangements for viewing. If you are unwilling to pay for agent fees, then you can just move on to the next probable listing.
