Hi, I am looking for a 'forever home' (living in minimum ~20 years). I like the idea of settling in a spacious unit in a mature estate. I've decided against EM due to the inconvenience in old age or health issues in climbing up/down stairs. Jumbos are lovely and spacious but they're mostly located in the North which I am not keen on. EAs would be lovely. However, most EAs are at least 30 years old - would the old age of the unit be an issue for me if I do plan to sell it for downgrading, say in 25 years' time?
- When I decide to sell later on , would it be tough to get buyers for a so-old unit with only ~35 years lease remaining?
- Which areas are my options for EA units? Although the lower quantum for units in the North appeals to me, I do not prefer the accessibility of the region. The East (like Pasir Ris) appeals to me, but some of the asking prices could be off-putting.
