Hi Jai,

You may sell the private property anytime after purchase, however, it maybe subjected to seller's stamp duty.

As of current regulations, seller's stamp duty is imposed if you sell a property within 4 years of purchase.

If I may help you in purchasing a unit, do let me know.

Hi Jai,

If you would know how soon your wife can get PR, I suggest you wait till she gets PR then buy HDB. If the wait is only a short time frame, rather wait.

If you knows that will be another few years to get PR, then I suggest you buy private condo now. You can still sell your condo, but is better you sell it on the 5th year after you bought. Within the 1st 4 yrs of selling, you will need to pay the Seller's Stamp Duty, which will not be a wise thing to do.

Send me an email and let me know what's your budget, I might able to find you a good deal. Please feel free to drop me an email or call me directly for a non-obligation discussion, if you still have further questions.

Thank you & Best Regards
