Hi, I am intending to buy a condo but the current HDB flat I'm staying is under my name. Can I still proceed on getting the condo? Are there any criteria I have to meet apart from MOP? Kindly advise. To all agents, do drop your contact details so that I can seek further advice :)

Happy 2014 to you! After fulfilling the MOP of your flat, you will be able to purchase a private property. Do take note that if you are a SPR couple, you have to sell off your HDB within 6 months after completion. If you are a SC and keen in holding on to both properties, do take note of the additional buyers stamp duty. Hi, if you are a local citizen and having completed your MOP, you can buy a condo and then rent out your HDB. Your buyer stamp duty will be at 10% (3%+7%) which is the additional you have to pay. Let me know if you have other questions. Hope I can help you to realize your dream of owning a condo. Best regards, J.A.Goh, HP: 96390350 , Email: gohja@singnet.com.sg Read More
