Hi, I am in a bit of predicament. I am looking to rent another place closer to my son's school but am hoping to be able to rent out my current owned property which i am staying. Which one should i secure first? Ideally, both can be confirmed at around the same time so that I can use part of the rental collection to help service the new place i am renting. Any advise very much appreciated.

Hi;

Best is to find your rental unit first.. then only market your unit out.. otherwise, if the other way around, you might end up without accomodation in the event you managed to find tenant for your house but have yet to find a unit for yourself.. Hope this helps..

Dear sir/madam,

It will be the best to accept an offer for your unit first and based on the timeline, make an offer for a unit to rent instead. In terms of activity, you should be looking out for units and tenants concurrently to ensure that while there are tenants who are looking out for units similar to your own property, there are also suitable units for your family to rent.

I have been in the real estate business since 2009, with more than 10years of experience serving the Singapore real estate market.

I am very active in the residential segment of Singapore real estate market, having transacted hundreds of deals from HDBs to private condominiums and landed properties in Singapore, and have handled many unique cases in sales and purchases as well as rental deals.

Over the years, I have also established a network reaching out to more than 9,400 expatriates, bringing my market presence to both in and outside of Singapore. This has created an additional exposure when I manage my client's portfolios, on top of the conventional on and offline platforms, where other estate agents are relying on. This has allowed me to consistently convert leads into results.

With an evolving market, where change is the only constant, I have also been investing in upgrading of my knowledge and skills sets to improve myself and meet the demands of current and future market.

Hi, I would be most glad to assist you further and pls feel free to let me know if you need any assistance. Hope to hear from you soon and have a great week ahead. It would be advisable to rent out your own property first and then source for the next. However, we could do both the renting out and the viewing of the next flat concurrently too.

Hi

From my experience, there exists different market segments for rental units. Some units are in a high demand and securing a tenant won't be difficult while some units may take some marketing time in order to secure a tenant. In order to advise, I need more information on the location and size of your current house to estimate the demand on it. There is no right or wrong way of doing it and if given a chance, I will try my best to work a timeline that is of a lesser risk to you taking into consideration your circumstances and demand and supply of the the units you are renting out and possible units you are going to rent. Do contact me at 93375051  for a free and non obligatory discussions on this.

Good afternoon!

I have assisted several tenants with similar scenario as yours. What I usually do is to market their property first, but concurrently start viewings for their next place. That way, we can shortlist which developments or units you're keen in and the moment we secure a rental for your current place, you can offer for a property of your choice and secure your next housing.

Timeline planning is very important for this, as the last thing you want is to have to rush to find your next housing and be stuck.

Let an experienced agent like myself assist you with the whole transaction, so it's hassle-free for you. I look forward to hearing from you!
