Hi, I am having a disagreement with my landlord. There is a small stain on the mattress and the surface of a coffee table is a bit damaged, which can still be considered as wear and tear. He demanded us to replace both with new ones. There is no clear clause in the contract about this. And I just realized after completing the contract that there is not stamp duty on our contract. And I am not even sure whether he registered us with HDB. I need advice to go about this. Thanks.

Hi, if you do not have an agent to represent you, then the onus is upon you to pay the stamp duty. Pls note that it is an offense not to pay stamp duty. Regards Aaron 9730 8455  aaronchong2774@yahoo.com.sg Read More
