Hi, I am currently a SG EP holder who recently married a SC.

I know we are eligible to buy a re-sale flat which 4-room or bigger. Is the amount we can get as a loan only based on my spouse's income (based on low base pay but high allowance + commission) as she will be the sole owner and I will only be an occupier?

Please provide any insight into this. Thanks.

Good morning buyer,

Yes you are right that because both of you will be purchasing under non citizen spouse scheme thus only your Singaporean spouse's income will be taken into consideration for mortgage assessment. Your income will not be used as you are an occupier.

Your spouse can apply for HDB or bank loan to see which loan is higher.

Hope my sharing is beneficial to your property purchase.

May I know how can I continue to value add in this purchase?
