Hi, I am considering to buy a new EC but the catch is i am currently owning a HDB Flat (1st timer) and MOP date is Nov 2010. I would like to know if i am eligible to buy a new EC which has a TOP date of Nov 2016. I understand i cannot sell my house right now unless i fulfill the 5 year MOP but is it possible to buy the EC now and sell my current flat 6 months before TOP or i can only purchase a new EC when i have fulfilled the MOP. Thanks

Hi Mrs Rachel Li,

If your flat is bought directly from HDB or under the CPF Housing Grant Scheme, you need to fulfil the 5-year MOP FIRST before you can APPLY to buy a new EC.
