Hi,

I am an overseas Singaporean returning to Singapore to buy a flat in Woodlands. We have just sold our house in Holland since 1 March 2012. I have heard rumours that you can't get mortgage from HDB or get grants if you have previously own private property overseas.

My question is, when I buy a flat in the next few months, can I still get grants and mortgage from HDB? If not, what are the other solutions?

Thanks in advance for the advice!

Afternoon,

Was your Holland unit purchase directly from HDB or with grant and HDB loan?
You have private property oversea?

If your Holland village unit was bought directly from HDB or purchased with grant, you will not be eligible for another grant.
If you have private property, you are definitely not eligible for grant nor HDB loan.

If you are still keen to purchase HDB resale unit, you can obtain loan from banks.

For further details, do feel free to contact me for further discussion.
