Hi, i am above 35 Yrs and am planning to purchase a 3 room HDB flat. I have doubts and need to clarify on some issues.I am currently staying with my parents n elder brother in a 4room flat in Tampines.Ownership is my Dad, Mum n Elder Brother.My parents have intention to sell the unit as my brother will be getting married end year and will be buying a resale flat with his wife.
As for my parents, they have been staying in Johor Bahru , a property which i have bought under my name and my aunt who is a malaysian few years back.My questions are: -
Am i allowed to purchase a resale HDB flat even thou i still have an oversea pte property?I am aware of the current ruling whereby one need to dispose off their pte property. But how is that possible if my parents is staying there and for myself i need to buy a flat once they have sold the current flat .I am working here and is definately inconvenient for me to travel to n fro to jb.
