Hi, I am a tenant on a 2 years lease and have reached 1 year 10 months with intention to extend it. The condo TOP officially(was probably ready for move in early 2017) only in 2018 and we were on lease since 2017.
A gas leakage was detected in one of my air con unit recently. We only realised the air condition unit was not so cold this year as we hardy used it before. The servicing man confirmed the leakage.
As per clause, we had to service the air con every quarter, but our servicings were more sporadic, like every 4-5 months. I understand that leakage has nothing to do with servicing but our landlord is demanding we pay for the repairs as we did not service as per contract.
What are our rights or options here?
Thanks!
