Amount of BSD+ABSD payable is based on your purchaser profile at point of entry / signing. Hence even if your SPR status changes down the road and become foreigner, you need not sell away the place and need not top up any stamp duties.

Purchasing of the property is based on the current status of the purchaser at the point of purchase. Hence, you will also pay for the stamp duty according to your status at the point of purchase. You do not need to top up the taxes should your status change a couple years later.

Hi;

You won't need to worry about paying or topping up extra stamp duty even if your PR renewal is not successful. You will rightfully be able to hold on to any eligible private purchase you made. Private condos are flexible compared to HDB's as there is no restriction for PR to rent it out at will. Time is right to enter Private non-landed market.
