I am a Singapore PR, my husband is an EP holder.We are planning to buy a condo.Is it possible to buy the condo only under my name?(single owner).I am eligible to apply for 80% loan?

If it is possible how many % ABSD we need to pay?Please reply.Thanks

Morning Mrs. DSR,

As PR buyer, you will be liable for 5% ABSD, provided that this is your only property in holding. YOu are also eligible to purchase the property under your own name.

Hi Mrs. DSR

Yes, it is better for you to purchase a condo unit in your name only as your husband is not a PR and will subject to more ABSD. For your case as a 1st time buyer, ABSD payable is 3+5%.

    Thanks for the reply. One more thing i want to check.If i cant get the 80% bank loan alone , then can my husband be my guarantor/partner for the home loan?(combined income to get a highner amout of loan but the house will be under my name only)Is there any other option available for this scnerio?
