Hi there!
There are restrictions for landed property sales that includes cluster housing. As PR, you will need to apply with LDAU to see if you can get an approval to buy the landed property.
If to purchase under your son's name, there may be an issue with the bank loan, given that he is still studying ie no income. With the current cooling measures, you need to be a co-owner in order to obtain a housing loan. Of course, you could buy the property using only hard cash.
I have a listing for cluster housing in Bedok South area that is looking below $1.7mil with a size of 2454sqft, 4 bedrooms and 3 storey.
