Hi Gurus, We SPRs couple have 1 hdb and 1 condo. And we are thinking to give up PR status in 2 years time (in 2015). We know we will have to sell hdb once PR status is terminated. MOP is satisfied and it shouldn't be problem to sell the hdb unit. But the condo unit will face some problem because it will be TOP at only 2017. and we want to avoid ssd also. We will not need to pay ssd if we sell after TOP. My question is can we still own the condo unit after PR status is canceled. And is it possible to sell the unit after TOP (2017) with the help of agent without us coming back to Singapore?

Morning Noel,

You are still eligible to keep your condo even though you are no longer holding PR status. And to sell the private property without your presence, you will need to appoint Power of Attorny to execute the sales on your behalf. All the necessary paperwork can done without your presence.

Hi Noel

Yes, you are able to keep your condo and sell it off after the TOP date, and also without the presence of yourself. Just need to appoint Power of Attorny to execute the sales document on your behalf. Cheers!
