Hi Gurus,


Need your advise please. Before my friend arrives in sg, he got a room and payed partial but then the deal did not go through and my friend was not able to use the room and before he arrives 1 week before, he already told the landlord that there are some changes, but the landlord dont want to return the one month advance. Another thing is there's no contract signed yet. Thank you for your help in advance.

When there is no contract signed, was there even a receipt of the payment given to the landlord? Anyway I do not quite understand the described problem therefore I won't be able to advise on any probably solutions.

    Thanks for the reply, the receipt would only be the bank transfer. The issue is that my friend did not use the room at all and already informed the landlord prior but the landlord doesn't want to return the money.
