hi Gurus

My MOP end Jan 2014
By then I will sell off my flat and buy a resale near to my mum’s place because of my baby due distance convenience

However, due to some reason, I am looking to appealing with HDB to shorten my MOP.

This is entirely due the fact my caregiver (my mum) is not able to travel to and fro my place anymore due to circumstances.
Both wife and I are working and childcare is not an option as we work very late.

Although on a short term basis we can work out something but I would like to hasten the process so that my baby can be properly taken care of.

The question is, can I appeal to HDB base on this and would approaching my MP be of any help knowing that my reason is probably not compelling enough for them to review.

Afternoon Shawn,

With your condition, you can write in to HDB and appeal for selling before MOP. Providing necessary documents like your mother's medical condition and telling them your situation will allow HDB to work on your case. Chances of success will be there if you try.
