Hi Gurus,
Me and my husband are both Malaysian and SPR and bought a condo in Malaysia in year 2019. I am intend to apply for Spore citizenship recently and would like to get advice on “ if it is good move to remove my name from property in Malaysia ?” to avoid any possible problems that may caused due the following :
1. Buy HDB flat in the future, and
2. Foreigner RPGT on profit from disposal of condo in Malaysia.

If I removed my name from the property in Malaysia, how will it affect the bank financing loan structure ?

Hi Mdm,

If you plan to apply for a BTO flat or take a CPF Housing Grant for your resale flat purchase, you will need to dispose all properties (local and overseas) and then wait out a 30-month period, in order to qualify as "first-timers".

In terms of bank financing for Malaysian properties, you may wish to check with the Malaysian banks instead. There will not be any impact on loans for Singapore properties under Singapore Banks.

I am experienced and well-versed in both HDB and private transactions. I will be able to assist you in your property plans. Please get in touch with me for a more in-depth discussion.

Should you need require further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.

Best regards,
