Hi,
There is not much difference, they are grouped under the broad category "Non-landed Private Residential". From my limited understanding, I believe private apartments were termed that way due to legacy reasons, as private dwellings were largely walk up low-rise apartments quite some time back. Condo projects then became popular after that as more citizens became more affluent.
For tax and financing purposes, the governing authorities makes no distinction and just looks at them as "Non-landed Private Residential" properties. Thanks and hope it clarifies. Is there anything I can assist further?
Warm regards,
