Hi Gurus, I am a new SPR and looking to buy a condo (resale) in Singapore. May I trouble you to let me know how much downpayment is required for a 800K condo? Maybe list out all the requirements as stamp duty etc?

Teck Huat Sim (Remus)
Generally, you would have to prepare the followings for a resale condo:
1) 1% of Purcchase Price for Option Money upon issuance of OTP
2) 4% of Purchase Price when you exercise the OTP at the law firm. Usually within 2 weeks after issuance of OTP.
3) Stamp duty of 3% of purchase price - $5400 + 5% ABSD (Because you are a SPR) must also be paid when you meet up the lawyers during exercising.
4) The rest of the money must be paid upon completion 8 to 12 weeks later.
Where 15% can come from your CPF (if any) and the rest of 80% from bank loan.

** Assume you can loan up to 80% for buying your first property in singapore. Lawyer Fee is about 3K.
