Hi,

Did you engage any agent for your purchase, or are you directly dealing with the seller's agent? If you have an agent representing you, you should be paying him.

If you are dealing directly with seller's agent, you need not pay anything as he is arranging that with seller.

Which part of Jurong are you considering? I do have a hdb 5room at Jurong West, and a hdb 4-room at Jurong East for sale. Will you like to view? Thanks.

Morning,

If you have engaged an agent to assist you for the hunt and on the required paperwork, you will have to pay your agent accordingly. Alternatively, you can opt to DIY you purchase by understanding the terms and required procedure. But why learn to cook Hainanese Chicken rice because you want to eat it?

Good morning buyer!

Thumb of rule: buyer pays commission to buyer's agent while seller pays to their agent representing them.

Under CEA regulations, there should not be any salesperson doing dual representation which takes commission from both parties.

Dear purchaser,

As long as you have the intentions to utilise the services of a salesperson, then be prepared to pay for the commissions. Otherwise, you can engage yourself to do all the callings, arrangements and confirmation of appointments for viewings and lastly paperwork and administrative arrangements for the resale transaction on your own to save on the commissions payable. As salesperson ourselves, we are aware of the rules and regulations that we are not suppose to be collecting from both sellers and buyers. Hope this helps.
