Hi guru,

I bought my current 5 room flat in dec 2009 under the singles scheme using my 2nd HDB loan. I bought from open market as I'm not eligible to buy from HDB. I have since remarried. I have reach the MOP of the unit and selling it cause I owe HDB 9k in arrears. I'm a bankrupt. Question: Can I appeal for a 3rd HDB loan for a 2 room unit from the Sales of Balance Flat exercise?

Afternoon,

Depending on your case, along with documentation proof, you will get a market rate loan at 3.8%, on best case situation.

Hi Don Hilmi,

You can appeal through branch office, the officer there will be able to help you. You will need some document from such as rejection letter from bank etc.

But do take note that the interest rate will not be the normal subsidised rate, most probably will be higher at 3.8%.

I do have experience handling such cases before, feel free to call me if you need my assistance.

Thanks and Regards
