Hi Guru, I am a EP holder, I want to buy a resale condo priced around 1M. what is the maximum approximate % of loan I can get from bank ? (my monthly income is about 4000, this is my first mortgage.) And what is the tax for this purchase? Thank you!

Hi Dennis,

As you are a foreigner, you will be subject to 15% additional buyer's stamp duty on top of usual buyer's stamp duty of (3% x purchase price) - $5,400.

You should be able to obtain a max 80% loan from bank but for the estimated amount, I have to request my panel of bankers to advise you on this.
