Morning,

Standard divorce filing will take minimum of 3 months to around 4 years. Unless both you and your spouse have something to contest on which requires court's judgement, you can sell your unit will filing for divorce. Do remember that filing of divorce does not mean that both of you are divorced till the absolute is ready.

Do feel free to contact me for further discussion.

Morning Jaz,

It's not an obligation to reveal your divorce filing to the buyer unless you feel that there's a need to do so.

Thus currently, you can choose to start all the proceedings for your sale (appointing an agent, marketing etc) since your MOP date is just next month which means that most likely you will be selling off your unit as a married couple.

If you decide to sell it off as a divorced couple, you might have to work on all the divorce papers to be settled before you can sell.

I am just a call away to assist you.

Enjoy your long weekends!

Warmest Regards,

Hi Jaz,

You will need to have the Interim Judgement in order to sell the flat, and it will take quite a period to obtain this.

You may wanna consider to sell you flat first before file for divorce .

Hi Jaz,

As what Mike has mentioned, unless both of you are agreeable on the sale and price expectations. Otherwise, even with court judgement, you will also face issues for selling if both are not agreeable to terms and conditions until court orders are given to sell.

I do have client examples who cannot agree on the sale terms and conditions thus, a deal cannot be struck even when valuation and checklists have been in place.

It will be good for both of you to come to agreement on the sale right down to the salesperson selected for selling, unless you decide to sell it by yourself.
