Morning Lim,

In most circumstances, you wont be able to retrieve your option money. Maybe at the meantime, you can request your agent if not talk to the seller and see whether you are able to get a portion back.

But like I had mentioned, chances are low.

Warmest Regards,

Afternoon Lim,

Seller will only grant option when there's an agreement on price and terms. Hence the buyer is using the option fee to exchange for the exclusive rights to buy the unit. As a buyer, if you opt to give up on this option, your seller have no obligations to refund the option money to you. Your salesperson should have advised you on this particular consideration. Try talking to your seller and come to a compromise, if required. Being able to take back part of it is better than total lost.

Good morning, I assume your option fees were paid as deposit for a new launch based on expiry of Jan 2013. If yes then you'll be able to get back 75% of your booking fees. Read More
