Hi Guru, after I sell my current condo, I would like to buy a new place but I need the funds to finance it, so can I complete my selling 1st then rent it back from my buyer? Do I need a clause in the Option to Purchase to state that? Or base on supplementary agreement, or verbal agreement?

Afternoon Ms Chia, Its best to state down the agreement of leasing back your current unit back from the potential buyer in black and white. If not, you can take up a bridging loan. Request for a longer completion period for your sale then at the meantime, buying your next property. Hope it helps! Cheers! Dear Ms Chia, Have you already appointed a salesperson to market your property for sale? I have done 1 transaction with free rental of 3 months given to my seller from the purchasers. The agreement can be done within the Option to Purchase or a supplementary agreement which should be sent to the lawyers as well. This should ensure that there is no further issues arising from disagreement.
