Hi,
For owners who do not engage an agent but directly finds his tenant, do they normally sign any document between them? is it a standard document? should there be any dispute, is that document useful, valid?

thanks.

Afternoon,

As per what Ken have mentioned, you can get your lawyer to draft out an TA, which will cover the basic terms of general TA or have them to prepare something specific to your requirement. Alternatively, you can download sample TA from the internet, which are quite general and may not cover the necessary. This are the possible route you can look into if you opt to rent out your unit without the assistance of an agent.
