Hi, for condo resale, the seller is asking to delay the handover date by 5 months but wants 3 months standard completion. Is this safe ? Will the seller has any obligation after completion on the handover the house which will be further 2 months later?

Hi,

It is not uncommon for Sellers to make this request, especially if the property is owner-occupier.

In fact, I am now handling 2 cases whereby the Seller has the option to "rent back" the sold unit after completion.

It is advisable for you to put it in writing, to prevent any potential disputes.

I am experienced and well-versed in both HDB and private transactions. I will be able to assist you in your property plans. Please get in touch with me for a more in-depth discussion.

Should you need require further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Robbie Chen
